Office carries out scientific and research works:
- Designing and developing technologies and performing repairs of metal structures using composites and gluing;
- Designing, technology development and repairs of composite structures;
- Designing and development of technologies for the production of composite aircraft structures;
- Study of physical properties of connected layers, composite materials and hybrid composite / metal (DMA);
- Numerical strength calculations of composite structures;
- Conducting training in the design and technology of composites;
- Project activity in the area of construction and scientific research in the field of composite structures;
- Works related to the implementation of work results to industry.
As part of the WZL-1 S.A. cooperation and ITWL with the substantive implementation of organizational work by the Office of Aviation Composite Structures, the KOMPO-TECH consortium was established.
- Autoclaves for the production of composite structures;
- Modern equipment for other methods of manufacturing composite structures (Heatcon, RTM)
- Modern software for structural and technological design, and technology support;
- A fully functional production line - from the storage of materials at low temperatures to the final processing of products.
The most important achievements of the Office:
• development of technologies for pasting bearings of the TS-11 Iskra aircraft;
• developing a technology for repairing the upper air intake flap for the MiG-29 aircraft RD-33 (1st prize in the SIMP competition);
• development of the technology of repair and repair of the Su-22 air-tightening frame border;
• Development of technology and repair with the use of composite materials of the PZL-130 TCII aircraft;
• Development of technology and repair with the use of composite materials of the C-130 Hercules aircraft
The laboratory conducts training in the field of composite structures.
The studio team has numerous certificates in the field of research and manufacture of composite structures using various technologies.
