The basic task of the studio as a technical element of the GPS Military Contact Point is: 

• Servicing military receivers (scope specified with the manufacturer);
• Buildings of military receivers on board ground units and aircraft (integration with on-board systems);
• Periodic surveys of civilian and military receivers of the GPS system;
• Development, research and analysis of new techniques for the use of the GPS system, civil and military versions;
• Development, research and analysis of new applications of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, CSAR / SAR systems;
• Development and analysis of systems for the management of the identification code allocation;
•  Studies on the organization and interoperability of civil and military rescue systems;
• COSPAS-SARSAT beacons programming;
• CSAR examination, COSPAS-SARSAT;
• Integration of beacons with aircraft systems;
• Integration of search systems with on-board systems;
• Servicing beacons.
