Applications of Quantum Technologies in Air Traffic Management of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland

The project aims to develop an innovative technology demonstrator to support the optimization of decision-making processes in military air traffic management. The proposed solution will enable near real-time control of airborne objects, dynamically adapting to changing conditions—an essential factor for ensuring flight safety.

The innovation lies in the application of quantum technologies to optimize complex decision-making processes, offering advantages over conventional methods. The developed algorithms will enable the use of quantum computers for solving multi-dimensional equations. These algorithms will support collision and conflict deconfliction analysis, time and distance assessments between aircraft, airspace element management, and coordination among ATM (Air Traffic Management) systems.

Moreover, quantum technologies will be employed to secure communication between system modules. The overarching goal is to achieve quantum advantage by delivering real-time solutions for managing airspace operations within the Republic of Poland through advanced algorithmic models.
