The goal of the WUEFKIN project is to develop a technology demonstrator of a multi-launcher, universal kinetic effector designed for the neutralization of unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
Within the project, the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL) is responsible for the development of a multi-barrel launcher for drones/effectors and for the preparation and execution of field testing of the complete system. The project was launched on August 1, 2023, and is scheduled to run for 24 months.
During the first phase, key technology components and the basic subsystems of the pneumatic multi-barrel launcher were verified under laboratory conditions. The development of the launcher is being carried out by Division 58 as part of a collaborative effort.
