Scientific success

An article co-authored by Lt. Col. Dr. Eng. Radosław Przysowa from the Department of Aircraft Engine ITWL, received the award of the EASN (European Aeronautics Science Network) association for the best conference article of the 9th International EASN Conference, which was held in Athens on September 3-6, 2019.

Other authors of the publication "Determination of the technical conditions of the turbocharger engine according to the criterion of natural vibrations of the blades and the stable limit of compressor operation" are dr Yaroslav Dvirnyk from Motor Sich JSC, prof. Dmytro Pavlenko from the National University of the Dnieper Polytechnic.

The featured work included statistical analysis of blade damage and numerical modeling of the impact of dust on the technical condition of blades and the performance of the TV-3-117 helicopter engine compressor. The publication is the result of scientific and technical cooperation under the 3.2a pilot project Engine health management system, which was part of the European project AERO.UA (Strategic and Targeted Support for Europe-Ukraine Collaboration in Aviation Research "AERO-UA") completed in 2019, co-financed from the EU research program and "Horizon 2020" innovation under grant agreement No. 724034.

The article appeared in the MATEC Web of Conferences conference materials and in an extended version in a special issue of the Mospi Aerospace magazine.
