The XXXI edition of the International Defense Industry Salon concluded with a double success for the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL). Once again, Polish technology, developed in collaboration with partners, was recognized and appreciated by the Competition Jury. The trade fair in Kielce took place from September 5th to 8th, 2023.
During the closing ceremony of this year's fair, Ph.D., D.Sc. Eng. Mirosław Kowalski, the Director of ITWL, accompanied by Ph.D. Eng. Mariusz Masiewicz, received the prestigious "Defender" award for the institute's "Polygon Training System in Electronic Warfare Conditions (SSPWE)," which was presented at ITWL's external booth.
On September 6th, a ceremonial awards gala for the 11th edition of the Nationwide "State Security Leader" Competition took place. ITWL was honored in the "Innovative Product" category for the "Monitoring System of the Technical Condition and Loads of Military and Civil Aircraft Structures." This prestigious competition was held under the patronage of the National Security Bureau.
The following developments and products were presented at the ITWL booth this year:
- Unmanned Aerial Vehicle "Duch" (part of the "Wizjer" system) with accessories:
- UAV launcher,
- control station,
- additional control station,
- communication system,
- transport backpacks.
- Airborne Practice Bomb LBĆ-10K - laser-guided, replacing full-size combat bombs in pilot training for bombing.
- MUP Rescue Pack - survival kit for aircrew flying over water (MUP-Rescue Pack "P" for the pilot, MUP-Rescue Pack "N/T" for the navigator or onboard technician, and MUP-Rescue Pack "R" for the rescuer).
- Passive Aircraft Protection System - flares and launch cassette meeting STANAG-4687 requirements, serving to defend passive airborne crew platforms.
- Information Systems - the latest support systems, including SI SAMANTA, SI SANP (Jelcz Vehicle Reliability Analysis System), and an application for the "Things are People" project.
- Target Imitators Set for training anti-aircraft defense units in the engagement of air-to-air, surface-to-air, water-to-air threats, and gun-based weapons.
- Unmanned Aerial Vehicles "AtraX" with a grenade launcher pod - vertical takeoff and landing UAV.
- Electromagnetic Radiation Absorbing Materials - "stealth" technology and a screen system for securing teleinformatics infrastructure (TEMPEST, protection against HPM attacks, protection against interference).
- Battlefield Deception Systems - smoke grenades, handheld smoke grenades, smoke blocks for deceptive and training purposes.
- Large Cumulative Charge ŁK-2 - designed for mining applications such as road, bridge, culvert destruction, or bunker penetration.
