On April 24–25, 2025, a presentation and conference on Unmanned Weapon Systems (UWS) took place at the 1st Warsaw Armoured Brigade base in Wesoła, Warsaw. The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Mr. Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
During his visit to the exhibition stand of the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL), the Minister was briefed on the presented systems by the Institute’s Directors: Prof. Mirosław Kowalski, Ph.D., D.Sc., Eng., and Prof. Andrzej Żyluk, Ph.D., D.Sc., Eng. Other representatives of the Ministry of National Defence also explored the unmanned aerial and combat systems (UAS/UWS) showcased by ITWL.
As part of the event’s live demonstrations, ITWL staff presented the capabilities of the “BIZON”, an unmanned measurement platform.
Following the demonstrations, a conference was held, organised by the Inspectorate for Unmanned Weapon Systems. Representing ITWL were Lt. Paweł Kalinowski, Ph.D., Eng., and Ms. Agnieszka Gugała-Szczerbicka, M.A. The conference discussions focused primarily on the integration of unmanned systems into the Polish Armed Forces, particularly in building operational capabilities.
The event was part of an ongoing and intensive effort to enhance unmanned weapons systems for the Polish military and served as an opportunity to present cutting-edge solutions in the land, air, and maritime domains.
The product displays were supported both logistically and technically by staff from selected research institutes and ITWL’s Promotion Department.
