On 26-27 June 2025, at the initiative of the Aircraft Airworthiness Department, a meeting of the NATO Task Force on Airworthiness of Military Aircraft as a Strategic Capability, key to ensuring safe, effective and uninterrupted air operations across the Alliance, was held at ITWL.
The above meetings were attended by members of TT ("Tiger Team Airworthiness in Times of Conflict"), representatives of: NATO Headquarters (NATO HQ), Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT HQ), HQ Allied Command Transformation (ACT), P3 and P5 General Staff Boards, Military Aviation Authority, the Minister of National Defence's Plenipotentiary for Aviation and representatives of ITWL. At the meeting, the following topics were discussed: the initial concept of the Centre of Airworthiness Excellence (AW COE), operational requirements, added values for NATO and Poland resulting from the establishment of such a centre, and other aspects related to the AW COE concept.
