The Air Force institute of the Technology transferred to the Foundation White&Red Wings (FCBS) the I-22 "Iryda" aircraft. I-22 served for years to ITWL specialists for research and technological testing and training of engineering staff. The aircraft will be used in the following years to promote Polish military aviation in the country and beyond its borders.
According to the agreement concluded with ITWL, FCBS undertook to allocate an airplane to the implementation of statutory goals, i.e. educational, museum and educational goals. It will also carry out renovation with the necessary changes, bringing the plane to a flight condition.
The Foundation based in Mielec, was established in 2014 and has been rebuilding and maintaining aircraft constructed and built in Poland after the WWII. FCBS is the only organization in a country specialized in servicing historical jet aircraft.
