The Air Force Technical Institute has once again been awarded the prestigious prize in the Stanisław Staszic for the best innovative products "Laurel of innovation", organized by the Federation of Scientific and Technical Associations, the Supreme Technical Organization. The handing of the Golden Laurel took place at a gala, organized on April 28, 2022. In the Warsaw House of Technician.

The competition committee appreciated the innovation and the wide field of application of the project entitled "The power supply system for the electricity of autonomous platforms", which was developed by a team composed of:

The most important advantages of this modern solution include increasing the possibilities of modern gas turbine micro systems by changing the power transmission (Electric Drive Shaft), as well as increasing the operational capabilities of autonomous platforms with electric drive by increasing their operating range, power and working time.

The golden laurel was picked up by: Deputy Director for Development and Implementation Ph.D.Eng  Jarosław Sulkowski together with representatives of the Propellants and Lubricants Division Ph.D.Eng Bolesław Giemza and MSc. Marek Domański.

The purpose of the competition Stanisław Staszic for the best innovative product "Laurel of innovation" is to support initiatives and activities aimed at promoting the successes of Polish innovators. The competition supports entities implementing innovative solutions in business and science, contributing to the development of the Polish economy, as well as strengthening its importance on the international arena.

This year's edition of the Innovation Laurel took place under the auspices of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, the Central Office of Measures, the Ministry of Development and Technology, the Patent Office, the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Polish Industry Development Agency, the National Center for Research and Development and the Office of Technical Inspection.
