The Air Force Institute of Technology, together with the Faculty of Transport of the Warsaw University of Technology, organized the Conference of Safety and Reliability KONBiN 2022 for the eleventh time. The event was held on June 7-10 in Piekary Śląskie.
82 participants from 18 institutions attended this year’s conference. 62 manuscripts were presented in eight plenary sessions and one poster session. During the conference, there was a "round table discussion" devoted to cybersecurity issues, moderated by Prof. PhD. Dsc. Eng. Mirosław Siergiejczyk from the Warsaw University of Technology and a thematic panel organized with the Departmental Council for the Competence of the Aviation and Space Industry - "The market of professional aviation training in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles in Poland and the competences and qualifications of UAV pilots expected by operators (employers)", moderated by Brig. Gen. Pil. PhD. Dsc. B. Eng. Jan Rajchel.
The Honorary Committee of this year's Conference included: Prof. PhD. Dsc. B. Eng. Marianna Jacyna - Dean of the Faculty of Transport of the Warsaw University of Technology and PhD. Dsc. B. Eng. Mirosław Kowalski, Prof. ITWL - Director of the Air Force Institute of Technology.
The chairman of the KONBiN 2022 conference was Prof. PhD. Dsc. B. Eng. Andrzej Żyluk - Deputy Director of ITWL for Research.
The conference was accompanied by an exhibition of selected manuscripts and projects of the Air Force Institute of Technology related to safety and reliability issues in aviation.
Conferences on Security and Reliability KONBiN is a series of conferences on the subject of ensuring safety and reliability in complex systems: human - technical facility - environment. The conference is addressed to universities, employees of research institutes, production and transport companies. The KONBiN Safety and Reliability Conference has been organized since 1999.
