ITWL at the iENA Invention Fair

|The International Trade Fair for Ideas, Inventions, and New Products (iENA) 2024 in Nuremberg took place from October 26 to 28, showcasing inventions from around the world.

This annual event attracts approximately 100 exhibitors presenting over 500 inventions and welcomes more than 8,000 visitors. The partner country for iENA 2024 was Indonesia, represented by the Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA), which focused on inventions beneficial for everyday life and those related to sustainable development. This year saw an exceptionally high number of inventions from China, which formed the majority, as well as from Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia.

Two ITWL inventions presented at iENA 2024 as part of the Polish booth, organized by TURKUS Małgorzata Katarzyna Kółeczko – the official representative of iENA in Poland – were awarded bronze medals with diplomas. The inventions were:

  • "Layered Gradient Bed for Controlled Deceleration of Objects in Overload Resistance Testing of Flight Data Recorder Cases," patent number PL 243461, creators: Andrzej Panas, Mirosław Nowakowski, Zbigniew Jakielaszek;
  • "System for Measuring the Position of DC Generator Brushes Relative to the Neutral Zone," patent number PL 238723, creators: Tomasz Tokarski, Michał Kalisiak.

Additionally, the first invention mentioned above (patent no. PL 243461) received a special award, the "Innovator Award 2024," in the form of a statuette with a diploma, granted by the German private research institute ERiNET, which focuses on the development of inventions, innovations, and network management.

The ITWL inventions at the fair were presented by patent attorney Mr. Paweł Ziencik with the assistance of Mr. Robert Czaplicki, M.Sc. Eng., Head of ITWL's Promotion Department. These distinctions are prestigious and significant, especially considering the exceptionally strong competition from Asian entries, particularly those from China.

As in previous years, the trade fair hall’s stage hosted an accompanying program, primarily featuring presentations of selected inventions. The fair was also attended by regional and international inventors' organizations, including IFIA (International Federation of Inventors’ Associations) and the German Patent and Trademark Office (Deutsches Patent- und Markenamt).
