From March 3–6, 2025, the JEC Composites Trade Fair took place in Paris – Nord Villepinte, at the Exhibition Centre. This is one of the largest and leading global trade fairs dedicated to composites.
This year marked the 60th anniversary of the event, which featured over 1,300 exhibitors from more than 100 countries. The fair showcased the latest advancements in raw materials, composite materials, structures, manufacturing technologies, research, and recycling of various types of composite materials.
The Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL) was represented by Ph.D. Eng. Bolesław Giemza, Head of the National Research Center for Intelligent Composite Materials at ITWL, and Mr. Michał Majchrzak, a representative of Nylonbor Sp. z o.o.
In line with ITWL’s ongoing initiatives, its representatives held discussions with potential partners in the following areas:
- Raw materials for manufacturing thermoplastic composites, including biocomposites and thermoplastic prepreg tapes,
- Raw materials and components for reinforcing cast polyamide elements,
- the utilization of ceramic matrix composites (CMC),
- Manufacturing technologies for thermoplastic prepreg tapes and cast polyamide elements.
Additionally, approximately 50 pre-arranged meetings (via the jecworld.bnetwork.com platform) took place, primarily focusing on:
- Finding new material solutions for specific research challenges,
- Providing an overview of ITWL’s scope of work and activities,
- Offering new products and collaboration opportunities with ITWL.
The participation of both ITWL and Nylonbor representatives at JEC World 2025 proved to be highly beneficial and successful, leading to numerous meetings that resulted in new contacts, offers, and innovative solutions applicable to both ITWL’s research and commercial activities.
