The XXVIII edition of the International Defence Fair in Kielce (MSPO) was very successful for Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL). The Institute won two most important awards at the Kielce fair. Moreover, the statuette of the State Security Leader was presented and the appearance of the institute's exhibition stand was appreciated. ITWL was represented by Director Ph.D., D.Sc. Eng. Mirosław Kowalski, prof. ITWL

Undoubtedly, the most important award won at this year's fair is the "Defender".

This year, the competition committee awarded only 3 such awards (in 2019, 10 statuettes were awarded). One of them went to the Air Force Institute of Technology, which together with the Military Central Bureau for Design and Technology (WCBKT) presented the solution "e-NOSP - a system for managing the readiness of aircraft ground handling equipment with the use of data tele-transmission". During the ceremonial gala summing up this year's defense industry show, the award was received jointly by the ITWL Director and the President of the Management Board of WCBKT Piotr Kisiel. The solution was developed in ITWL's IT Logistic Support Division.

Defender, however, was not the only award that Director Mirosław Kowalski received that afternoon. President of the Management Board of Kielce Expo Inc. appreciated the "MUP - Rescue Pack" system - marine clothing intended for members of aircraft flying over water bodies developed together with Konfexim-2 Sp. z o.o. The solution was awarded with the "Award of the President of the Fair". The division responsible for MUP - Rescue Pack is the ITWL Avionics Division.

Another success, which had its finale during this year's edition of the International Defense Industry Exhibition, is the Institute's victory in the "product" category in the 8th edition of the National Competition "STATE SECURITY LEADER - 2020". The "Leader" statuette was awarded for the "Land Security System" developed by the Air Force Institute of Technology in cooperation with the Military University of Technology, the "Łukasiewicz" Research Network, the Institute of Innovative Technologies EMAG and the company SEVITEL sp. z o.o. The award was collected by the Director of ITWL together with the Chief of the Armaments Division.

The ITWL was also awarded by the ALTAIR Aviation Agency. The agency paid special attention to the preparation and presentation of the ITWL fair stand, thus appreciating the effort and the process of preparing the exhibition, which traditionally and proudly presented Polish technology developed by the institute and consortium members. The award was received from the President of the ALTAIR Agency by the Chief of the Promotion Department of ITWL on behalf of the Director.

The stand of the Air Force Institute of Technology enjoyed great interest. Among the outstanding guests who were hosted at the stand by the Director of ITWL, Ph.D., D.Sc. Eng. Mirosław Kowalski, prof. ITWL together with the Deputy Director for Development and Implementation, Ph.D. Eng. Jarosław Sulkowski, it is impossible not to mention Sebastian Chwałek, Secretary of State in the Ministry of National Defense, General Commander of the Armed Forces - General Jarosław Mika, 1st Deputy of General Commander of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General pilot Jan Śliwka, or the Commander-in-Chief of the Police, Inspector General Ph.D. Jarosław Szymczyk.
