On June 17, 2021, on the 68th anniversary of the establishment of the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL), a ceremonial meeting of the ITWL's Scientific Council was held in the the Center for Innovative Aviation Technologies of President Ryszard Kaczorowski.
The project "The use of quantum technologies in the air traffic management of Polish Armed Forces" (QATM) was inaugurated in ITWL on June 15, 2021. The project is co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development as part of the Competition No. 1 / "Szafir" / 2020 for the implementation and financing of projects implemented for the defense and state security.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, General Rajmund Andrzejczak, paid a visit to the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). The meeting was hosted by the Director of AFIT, Ph.D., D.Sc. Eng. Mirosław Kowalski, prof. ITWL, and took place on April 7, 2021.
On November 16, 2020, the Director of the Air Force Institute of Technology, Ph.D., D.Sc. Eng. Mirosław Kowalski, prof. ITWL and the Director of the National Center for Cyber Security, Brig. Gen. Karol Molenda signed an agreement on scientific and educational cooperation between ITWL and NCCS.
On the occasion of the National Independence Day, the Management of the Air Force Institute of Technology wishes you health, prosperity, joy and pride in your homeland, which became a sovereign and independent country 102 years ago thanks to the dedication and patriotism of Polish society.

Representatives of the institute took part in the Global Drone Conference, organized during the Aviation Expo exhibition in Kielce on September 19-20, 2020.
The XXVIII edition of the International Defence Fair in Kielce (MSPO) was very successful for Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL). The Institute won two most important awards at the Kielce fair. The Air Force Institute of Technology has obtained funding for the 5D-AeroSafe research project under the HORIZON 2020 program. The project started on June 1, 2020 and will be financed by the European Commission (EUROPEAN COMMISSION Innovation and Networks Executive Agency).
Exactly 67 years ago, under the organizational order No. 042 / Org. Minister of National Defense, on June 17, 1953, the Scientific and Research Institute of the Air Force (INBWL) was established.
