The XXXI edition of the International Defense Industry Salon concluded with a double success for the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL). Once again, Polish technology, developed in collaboration with partners, was recognized and appreciated by the Competition Jury. The trade fair in Kielce took place from September 5th to 8th, 2023.
The concluding ceremony of the Kielce Defense Expo MSPO 2023 marked a significant moment, as Director of ITWL, Ph.D., D.Sc. Eng. Mirosław Kowalski, received the prestigious Defender award in recognition of the institute's achievements with the "Electronic Warfare Training System (EWTS)."

On August 11, 2022, celebrations of Polish Armed Forces Day took place at the Institute of Aviation Technology. This holiday, which commemorates the victorious Battle of Warsaw fought in 1920 during the Polish-Bolshevik War, is officially observed on August 15th.
On June 16, 2023, solemn celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of Aviation Technology took place. The ceremony was attended by the Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defense, Deputy Minister Marcin Ociepa, representatives of the Polish Armed Forces, Military Research Institutes, industry, and the scientific community.
On June 17, 1953, the Minister of National Defense issued organizational order No. 042/Org, establishing the Scientific Research Institute of the Air Force (INBWL) on the grounds of the Babice airfield near Warsaw. Subsequently, on September 8, 1958, by order No. 013/MON, the institute's name was changed to the Institute of Aviation Technology of the Armed Forces (ITWL), a name that remains to this day. Since its inception, ITWL has been engaged in enhancing combat readiness and flight safety, initially pioneering in these areas and subsequently advancing technologically.
The Institute presented two inventions at the 16th International Exhibition of Inventions and Innovations, INTARG 2023, held in Katowice on May 24-25, 2023.
